Children's Science Kit
Each year, Workday's multi-day customer conference incorporates a volunteering activity as part of its agenda. For 2015, attendees packed and assembled 1,000 boxes containing preschool science kits to be donated to area families. Each kit included basic household materials like vegetable oil, dishwashing soap, vinegar, and baking soda. In addition, I designed a booklet describing 20 science experiments that could be performed with these materials. I also designed the packaging graphics for the kit. Since the audience was preschoolers, the booklet needed to be fun, suitably engaging and easy to follow. I hired the perfect illustrator, Barbara Pollak, to provide whimsical graphics illustrating each experiment. Science can be fun!
